I hope everyone has had a great Christmas. Mine has been awesome! It is FINALLY snowing outside and it looks absolutely beautiful. My family and I talked to Cody (my brother) today, too!! It was actually over the Internet with a web cam. It was SSOOOOO awesome! He looks really good, and had a lot of stories to tell us!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Snow is everywhere I go
I was driving with my family to the mall when the car in front of us lost control, spun and hit the semi in the lane over, spun again and hit the metal that prevents you from flying too far off the road. They are SOOOOOOOO lucky they did not go under the semi. If they had, we would have witnessed two people dying instead of a car just doing pirouettes on the snow-covered freeway. Snow kept falling from noon until at least 7:00 pm. It was nuts! I'm so glad my dad was driving and that the gentlemen in the other vehicle were uninjured.
Other than witnessing what could have potentially been a fatal accident, today was a great day! Shopping with my family was a lot of fun. It made me miss my brother a little though. I can't wait to talk to him on Christmas!

Maps.
Sometimes I wish I could just hop on a plane, or get in my car and pick a direction to go. I once saw a movie where one of the leading characters wanted to take a holiday from the confines of work and learn more about life. Everyone was in an uproar about it. ' Why in the world would you ever want to leave the comforts that you have AND why would you ever want to STOP making money?' was the point those opposing the idea made. I say, well why not? I wish I could explore and learn more about the lovely planet that I live on. I want to meet more people and have a better understanding of what makes a person become the person they are. I want to live life outside of my comfort zone...
It is then I realize I don't have to travel that far.
There are many roads to pick from on a map, but it is up to me to figure out which one is the right one for me. .

Tenderness
Today, I worked at a cannery. The sweetest elderly people were working there, too. There was a couple there that have been married for barely a year....they had to have been in their early 70s! Wow. I thought it was very sweet and tender how they treated one another; you could tell how much they love each other.
There doesn't seem to be enough love in this world. It is like people, in general, have become so self-absorbed that nothing else matters. Why is that?
I want to be like the old couple I saw today...

clean windows
Today, my mom showed me a story she read recently about a couple who moved into a new house and noticed their neighbor kept hanging her laundry out to dry when it was not completely clean. It went on for weeks until one day the wife saw the neighbor had finally cleaned her laundry properly. The husband walks in at this moment and said it's because he finally cleaned the windows. It is all about perspective and how clean the window is you are looking though.
Interesting thought of the day, eh?

finals are final
Things have been nuts! Man oh man.
Quick update: I once said that I would try to not complain at all for (I think) a week. The attempt was unsuccessful and I realize that I complain a lot. I think I am more aware of it when I'm trying not to complain. Now I think I am going to try even harder to stop complaining...or at least bring it to a minimum.
Well, this is the last week of the fall semester! It is good, and bad. Good because Christmas is coming! Bad because I have to take finals. There is one in particular that I am super nervous about. I don't think I am going to get a lot of sleep tonight, that's for sure. It isn't that I will be trying to cram, either. I am just hoping, no, PRAYING that I remember how to do the problems and fully understand the concepts. I studied a little while ago with a group, and I felt pretty good up until one point and that is what I need to study more. Yikes! So I wish everyone the best of luck with finals (projects or tests) this week, if you are taking any.
One last thing, I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!! Last night my roommates and I had a little Christmas exchange and it was awesome. Hopefully I will see some pictures from it that Casey took..haha. Jess got me some SLIPPER SOCKS, a photo box, and some lip stuff. Now I won't be falling all over the place...well at least in the house!! But ya never know with me...my middle name should be klutz. Anywho, it was a lot of fun spending a little time with JUST the roommates....Liz is getting married in less than a month and Cassie is starting to pack to move in to another place with her friends. I'll miss them both. Thankgoodness for multiple forms of communication!! :D
Only 17 days until CHRISTMAS!!!!
