I'm going green

My room is green!! Well at least part of it. The other part is "popped corn." Now it is time to decorate. Let's just say the creative side is excited to let loose.

Two things about movies:
1. I think Pollyanna is one of my absolute favorites.
2. I finally saw Taken and it was really really good.

Week 4 of Life at Home

Heyo. I have been home for almost 4 weeks and all I can say is Hot Dang! I still haven't found a job...the economy kind of stinks right now....but at least I have a good internship! I have an interview with Michael's on Friday so let's keep our fingers crossed!

I've been loving the weekends because it has been devoted to helping the family in the yard. For those of you who have seen our yard...it looks like crap (well it did). Thus far, we have planted a garden (the radishes are popping up!), planted some bushes, picked out a ton of rocks, and installed an irrigation/ sprinkler system in our front yard. I'm REALLY hoping that we can put down some sawd (sp?) soon in the front yard. Everything would look SOOO nice that way! As much time as this takes, I love it.

I have also caught up on all of my favorite TV shows. Oh the things you do when you are at home. Now that I have that out of my system, I'm hoping to do other things. Like read another good book! (thanks for the ones you gave me Case)

To be completely honest, though, I miss my friends. Love my family, but miss my friends.

ned oh ned

I have a crush...on Lee Pace (aka Ned from Pushing Daisies and Michael in Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day) I have been watching the TV show Pushing Daisies and it is AWESOME!! Too bad it was canceled after 2 seasons :( Also, Chuck (Anna Friel) wears the most amazing clothes on the show. I am a fan.

holy crap

To all those who have been trying to get a hold of me, I apologize. Things have been crazy and the only time I've looked at my phone is to check the time. I promise you though, I will talk to you soon!!

On a different note, I've been daydreaming with the little time I have available. My parents are doing a lot of renovating in our house, picking out colors and what not. I have come to the conclusion that my parents will probably not like all the bright colors I want in my own house. At least it would take some adjusting for my dad. I've been thinking about how I want my own space to look. I have the perfect idea in my head. Part of me is stoked to be out in the 'real world' (the oh let's decorate and have fun part, I guess). The other part is thinking "Girl, are you really ready for this?" I keep wanting to talk like Achmed and say "HOLY CRAP!"

Well, now my cousin is torturing me with Bull riding, so I need to head out. Everyone have an AWESOME WEEK!

Happy Mother's Day!

To all moms out there (especially mine) HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

I love you mom!

Things that make me smile #7

MOVIES!!

I really do love movies...from old silent films to Harry Potter to Singin' in the Rain. I love them.

Summertime usually means good movies and I think I've found one that I'd really like to see: (500) Days of Summer
This past Friday, I saw Star Trek and it was really really good. Everyone should enjoy at least a little bit of science fiction in their lives once in a while.

Paint!

My parents gave me a little hope that I could paint a few walls in my room. Immediately, I started looking for color ideas. These are the two that I'm leaning towards. It would be really cool if this were to work out, but I don't want to push it too much.

Flower Fields!

One last thing and I am done...at least until I get bored again. I was deep cleaning my house which means little to no sleep which means not so easy to stay awake at work. Anywho, I found another place I WILL visit someday. The Flower Fields in Carlsbad, California. It is absolutely beautiful there when all the flowers are in bloom!

summer continued

I typed the word summer into Google Images, and this was one of the results. I don't know who did these pictures, but I love them; mainly because it has images of rain (I could probably live in Seattle and be happy), puddle jumping (a favorite pastime of mine) and a daisy (they are the friendliest flower!). Not to mention other way cool things. Like riding a bicycle, traveling, and what have you. This summer is going to be busy with an online class, an internship, and a job; but I think I'm ready for the adventure....at least I hope so!

Things that make me smile #6

SUMMER!!!

This only seems fitting to be #6 because after 1pm today, it will be official!!

This summer has a lot to live up to to be anything like last summer.

Last year, I went with my family to a hot air balloon festival down in Panguitch, Utah. I just recently found out that there is going to be an Ogden Valley Balloon & Artist Festival in August! Am I going to go? Most definitely. One of these days, I will ride in one. Until then, I'm going to take loads of really cool photographs.

Summer 2009, I am hoping for the best. Please do not disappoint.
