I have an obsession.
As summer draws nearer, I keep thinking about listening to music outdoors and enjoying the weather. Well life just got better.
First, I found out Adele sang with an up and coming artist named Daniel Merriweather....the song is called Water and a Flame. Two soulful artists singing together=the best thing ever!
Second, a friend told me Bon Iver was coming to Salt Lake City for the Twilight Concert Series. I looked it up and not only is he coming, but the Black Keys, M.Ward, Jenny Lewis and possibly Sonic Youth!!
Third. Another friend told me that Nate Ruess (former singer of The Format) formed a new band with Andrew Dost of Anathallo and Jack Antonoff of Steel Train named Fun. They only have a song out for a free download if you join their mailing list and it is pretty darn good.
I'm not a huge fan of MySpace, but they have the best music there. I know all of these great musicians have MySpace pages, so check it out.
P.S. I love music
Song I'm currently listening to: Change- Daniel Merriweather feat. Wale

So cool
My friend at work found this really cool site. She makes purses out of books! Now, at first, I did not like the idea of the pages of a book being separated from its cover; but they are books given to her by the person who wants a book-purse. Check it out!

Things that make me smile #4
FAMILY!!!!
When I was younger, my friends were amazed how close my family and are to one another. They thought I never fought with my siblings and we were the "perfect family." Although I know for a fact that we are not perfect and sometimes have arguments and what not...like most families...I STILL love my family. They are the ones who will always be there after everyone else is gone. My family is a constant in my life, and I am so happy for that!

It's mid April and it is snowing!
I truly love this image. With summer and a lot of changes coming, this photo has the wisdom I seem to need.
Last night, I went to see the band Travis. They were AMAZING!! Definitely in my top 10 Favorite Bands of All Time. We were right in front of Dougie, the bassist. Like I said: AMAZING!!!

No more hibernating
I changed the layout of the blog, but I'm not so sure if I like it. This week is it's trial period and we well see how I feel about it at the end.
The sun is out and it's warmth can actually be felt!! OH Happy Day! I sure am ready to do fun things outside.
Fun thing #1: sit outside and enjoy it
Fun thing #2: hike
Fun thing #3: swing
Fun thing #4: monkey chips.

It's Times Like these I want Summer...BAD
Sometimes, I feel like I'm stuck in a bubble and not going anywhere. That is what I also feel like with snow...trapped. The weather is playing some dirty April Fools trick by having is snow! Honestly, it should be like 50 nice degrees outside with beautiful green grass on the ground. Not this. I'm ready for farmer's markets, warm summer evenings, fireworks, swimming pools, good books, and shorts!
Dude, I'm not ready for a permanent winter.
