Much fun to be had.

So I have been terrible, no, HORRIBLE at this whole blogging thing.  It hasn't been on the top of my list of 'cool things to do with my time'.  I'd like to update this with a few photos of 2012 thus far.  I could post a ton of pictures....but here are some of the highlights...New York City for the lovely Nicole's wedding! Jess outside enjoying the solar eclipse.  My cousin Logan's graduation from Roy High School.  The Dirty Dash.  The ever gorgeous Jess's wedding, and the Fourth of July!

I solemnly hope to be better at this.  I've been thinking about what to write for a while, so that's promising, right?!

so far..

Life tends to take over and I haven't been very good at updating this. The biggest thing that has happened so far this year was this lovely. Getting stitches on your cheek is the WEIRDEST feeling!!
Hope this year is going well so far for everyone!

I heart Bob Hope

Personally, I think Bob Hope is one of the greatest people to have lived upon this earth. Please enjoy a moment of smiling and laughing as Bob Hope and James Cagney prove what it takes to really be great.

I love fred.

All movies improve tenfold if they involve Fred Astaire in some shape or form.

2010 in Pictures

Hola! I thought I'd put up a couple of pictures from the great year of 2010. Making sweet valentines for amazing friends, meeting up with old friends, my first rodeo, the fourth of July my sad jeep dying (RIP Reggie the Renegade) My Grandparents 50th anniversary, going to Jackson Hole to kyack and go white water rafting, seeing (and going through) a CRAZY cool storm, visiting Old Faithful, my brother's wedding, the Drowsy Chaperone with my mom, AND Christmas. Life was pretty great in 2010. Here's to the New Year!

a few tidbits

Hello!

I haven't been the best at blogging, but since my last post back in June was about the the Disney movie coming out called Tangled. I'm following it up with the latest trailer on imdb.com for the movie. So worth it.

Since I'm at it. Here is what has been happening this summer.

A little fourth of July breakfast celebration with family in Centerville, Utah
Some sparkler action.

My Grandparent's 50th Wedding anniversary! We had all my uncles come out for the occasion

Oh, and a few cousins.

Supervised my Dad and Brother cutting down a cherry tree.

And that was only the beginning.

I honestly love to write.

At one point in time, I was really good at blogging.

Recently I haven't been near a computer for entertainment. So please excuse the lack of entries. I've been working a lot and hope to be writing more soon!

In the meantime, though, I am going to be re-doing the blog and will let you know when it is up and ready to go!

love, taryn

Because it's one in the morning.

I can't sleep and I haven't written much in a super long time on this here fine blog. Life has been feeling a little weird for me since graduating from Utah State. I though I had it all figured out, but things never seem to turn out the way I plan (which is probably a good thing). I feel like I've sent out an unlimited amount of resumes, had some hope a few times, had them dashed the next, and was grateful to find a job that pays well. By no means is it something I want to do for the rest of my life, but I am definitely grateful to have something to pass the time, and earn money for it.

The point I'm really trying to get at is I'm incredibly grateful for my family. They believe in me when I've let doubt and fear take over. If it wasn't for them, I'd probably be ready to go crazy, curl up in a ball and hope to wake up from an unfortunate dream.

My dad has always said to make the best of what you have and my mom has always had unwavering faith that things always work out....both happen as long as you look at the silver lining. It's there, believe me. However there is something called initiative that people are lacking these days. Stop waiting and start doing something. How else is anything going to happen unless you take action yourself?? Stop being bitter or sulking or saying "life is unfair." If life was always fair no one would learn anything. I know I wouldn't learn much. And stop looking at things negatively, that doesn't get anyone anywhere.

ok. I'll step down from my soapbox now. Just promise me to never, ever give up. Thanks.

Things that make me smile #10

A new found love that makes me smile....exercise. It makes you smile doesn't it? You feel better, you actually acquire muscles you never thought you had, and endorphins make you happy.

This is week 4 for me exercising and it is GREAT! Especially since I work from 6 in the evening to 2:30 in the morning. Exercising has helped me stay awake and alert.

Not to mention I'm felling pretty good about life right now. Seriously, exercise can cure a lot of things.

So there you have it. Now if only I could eat more veggies.

lemonade.

I know one thing I want for my b-day (besides getting a job)

A Fuji Instax Mini Instant Camera from Photojojo.

It's beautiful, I know.

A lot of things have happened recently that has made me realize that you need to just roll with the punches and try your hardest to look at the glass always being half full. Life never seems to turn out the way you planned it, but where is the fun in that?

Just a thought.
